Shelton’s Primary Education Center, serves children ages 2 years to 5th grade, opened its first site in 1971, and is a private, non-profit organization. Shelton’s successfully endows children with self-esteem, character and a sense of purpose by providing positive role models and offering a culturally relevant curriculum in a nurturing environment.

We are dedicated to providing a high standard of education from preschool through 5th grade. With success as the ultimate goal, we challenge all students to do their best. The objective is to train and
equip children with those talents and life skills which will contribute towards their growth as wholesome individuals.
We are committed to providing a curriculum designed to strengthen personal identity and character, drawing from the most positive contributions of all people, especially people of color, in science, literature, math, social science and fine arts.
