African-American psychotherapist who works with people who are trying to figure out how they can
Therapy can benefit you in numerous ways, including improved interpersonal relationships, a better outlook on life, relief from specific symptoms, and possibly the resolution of the concerns that led you to seek treatment. I believe in a holistic, strengths-based approach to providing individual treatment that focuses on helping clients rediscover and enhance their coping skills when facing various obstacles in their lives. I use a traditional talk-therapy model that incorporates concepts from cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. Most importantly, I tailor treatment to the needs of each person.
You already have the tools to create the life you want; we will work together to come up with realistic solutions for you to achieve balance and harmony in your life. I have vast experience working across all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender and age. Finding the therapist that's right for you means finding a good fit; if we are a good fit, we can make it work!
